03 / Behind SURIX
Preethi Ramesh
Founder & Creative DirectorRaised in Chennai and trained across Carnatic and Western music, Preethi Ramesh has always seen music as more than something you simply learn - it can shape confidence, identity and even a career. Through years of teaching and building Rethink Raaga, she saw first-hand where traditional music learning often stops short: students need better guidance, stronger motivation and a clearer connection to the real music world. Her MA in Music Industry Studies at the University of Liverpool helped bring that vision into sharper focus, eventually leading to SURIX - a more thoughtful, connected and future-facing way to learn music.
