1. Scope and information we collect
This policy applies to website visitors, prospective and enrolled students, parents or guardians, instructors, staff and social followers. We may collect names, ages, contact details, guardian details, course preferences, learning goals, communications and voluntarily submitted content. Basic device, usage and approximate location information may also be collected.
2. Children’s data
For students under 18, SURIX requires consent from a parent or lawful guardian. We limit collection to what is necessary to provide the service, do not direct behavioural advertising at children, and allow guardians to request access, correction or deletion.
3. How information is used
Information supports trial and course registration, appropriate pricing and course format, payments, scheduling, class delivery, instructor matching, support, service improvement, legal compliance and fraud prevention. Promotional communication and use of recordings require consent.
4. Sharing and service providers
SURIX does not sell personal data. Information may be shared only as needed with payment, communication, video-conferencing, hosting and analytics providers; assigned instructors; professional advisers; legal authorities; or business transferees subject to continued protections.
5. Cookies
SURIX uses essential browser storage for security, forms, regional settings and to remember your privacy choice. Analytics and marketing or media technologies are optional and remain disabled unless you expressly allow them through the Cookie Preferences gateway. Your choice is stored locally with a version and timestamp, can be changed or withdrawn at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer, and does not require an account. When a browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, SURIX honours it by keeping marketing disabled.
6. Your rights

7. Retention and security
Enrollment records may be retained for active enrollment plus up to three years, transaction records up to eight years, quality recordings up to 12 months, and marketing preferences until withdrawal. SURIX applies reasonable access and transmission safeguards.
8. International transfers
Data may be processed in India and through global service providers. SURIX intends to use appropriate safeguards where required and will update this section once final vendor and storage arrangements are confirmed.
